#Styledshoot | Cathedral Rock Elopement

Not every girl grows up clutching a binder and dreaming of a huge traditional wedding. More people want to start their lives without the financial & mental strain a large wedding comes with. Millennials especially are practicing their right to do things their own way and steer away from tradition. People my age want something a little more fun, fresh, stylish, and modern. I'm very much on board.

Millennials are stepping away from the Pinterest boards and choosing the alternative. Contemporary Elopements. The smaller, less expensive way of getting married. A modern-day elopement is now defined by a beautifully curated affair that speaks and attests to the couple and what they consider to be their “perfect” day. Couples are traveling all over the world to eloping in destination they have dreamt about with just the people by there sides that matter the most.

I've had this vision to create this whimsical & romantic styled elopement in Sedona, Arizona for a while. Dreams came true this year, and I was able to pull it together and shoot Hannah & Cade in the most beautiful patch of red rocks near Cathedral Rock.

I reached out to Bride Studio, a wedding dress shop in Glendale, to collaborate and borrow the boho Selena dress from the 2019 Wilderly Collection that matched my concept perfectly. Kelly Bowden killed Hannah's moody and edgy look with the purple lips and the top knot. I choose the bolo tie to accent the southwest flair that I bought locally at Retro Ranch. Hannah's henna tattoo was done at the Henna Shoppe in the Scottsdale Fashion Square mall. I'm very excited to share this with you guys. It's been a concept for so long.
